The Tibbits Farm is owned and operated by Tom Tibbits and located near Sumnerville, Kansas. Mr. Tibbits approached the Kansas Water Office in the hopes to demonstrate his irrigation technologies to nearby farmers to help conserve the water resources in the area. 

Technology

For the 2020 growing season, Mr. Tibbits will grow soybeans and focus most of his attention on precision mobile drip irrigation (PMDI) technology to make the most efficient use of water needs. He plans to incorporate soil moisture probes in conjunction with the PMDI to help make better management and irrigation decisions throughout the season.
