Virtual Governor’s Water Conference Starts Wednesday

The 2021 Virtual Water Conference is Wednesday, November 17 and Thursday, November 18. This is the 10th annual event and registration is free for all attendees.

The 2021 Virtual Governor’s Conference on the Future of Water in Kansas is Wednesday, November 17 and Thursday, November 18. This is the 10th annual event and registration is free for all attendees.

Conference Topics include:

  • Groundwater Management and Conservation
  • Reservoir Sedimentation
  • Extreme Events
  • Climate Change and Response
  • Current Research

Day one conference speakers will include Doug Kluck, Regional Climate Service Director for the North Central U.S., NOAA; Rob Manes, State Director of Kansas, The Nature Conservancy as well as updates from Governor Kelly, the House Water Committee and agency partners.

Day two will build on the water policy and implementation discussions from the previous day with technical presentations. Also featured is the water photo contest winners and graduate and undergraduate student poster presentation awards.
