Solomon-Republican Regional Advisory Committee Meeting in Concordia
May 1, 9a.m., at Cloud County Community College Campus
The Kansas Water Office’s (KWO) Solomon-Republican Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) will hold a meeting to discuss several items in their region.
The meeting will be held Monday, May 1, 9 a.m., in the Cook Theater, on the Cloud County Community College Campus, 2221 Campus Drive in Concordia, Kansas. The agenda has several topics including an update on the Kansas Bostwick Irrigation District conversion project. Groundwater Well Depletion information along the Republican River presented by Katie Tietsort, KDA-DWR. Andrea Brookfield (KGS) will also present on the Enhanced Lower Republican River Model and the final report on the feasibility study for four potential reservoir sites will be presented by Rich Besancon with Burns and McDonnell.

As the state’s water office, KWO conducts water planning, policy coordination and water marketing as well as facilitates public input throughout the state.
The agency prepares the KANSAS WATER PLAN, a plan for water resources development, management and conservation. KWO also reviews all water laws and makes recommendations to the Governor and Legislature for needed legislation.
